Health, Safety and Food Hygiene Management System
To comply with the requirements of the Health & Safety at Work etc., Act 1974, together with the Food Safety Act 1990, every catering business needs a Health, Safety & Food Hygiene Management System.

The Management System covers three principle areas - The Statement of Intent, the Organisation and the Arrangements. It is sometimes referred to as a Health & Safety Policy and is made up as follows:
- A Health & Safety Policy Statement of Intent. This shows acceptance by the Management Team of their responsibilities. It should ensure that health and safety is applied to all business activities.
- That there is an adequate Organisation established, which is able to implement the undertakings presented in the Statement. This section should include display of an organisation chart, to clarify the interaction between various members of staff, together with a section outlining each management individual's responsibilities, together with the health and safety role allocated to each category of staff within the organisation
- The Management System provides proof to the reader, whether they are in-house personnel, or visiting inspectors that all aspects of current Legislation are covered. This section includes, specifically, the Fire Precautionary Arrangements for the organisation, First Aid Provision and Food Hygiene Requirements, followed at the end by an Appendix, which encloses all the necessary forms (internal and external), which may be used to ensure an adequate control of health, safety and food hygiene requirements
We also produce, when specially requested, individual employee Health & Safety Handbooks, for use by employees working away from base, or as contractors at a client's customer site
As a matter of course, we print extra copies of the Fire and First Aid Notices, which are within the Management System, so that they may be displayed at strategic positions throughout client premises, to provide valuable assistance in an emergency
