Of all accidents at work, statistics have indicated that manual handling injuries seem to be the most frequent result. In consequence, it is felt to be time well spent to ensure that all clients and their employees are provided with Manual Handling Training, under the Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992, as amended by the Miscellaneous Amendments Regulations 2002, so as to prevent occurrence of these accidents in the workplace.
This training studies the physiology of the human body, to indicate the areas of weakness, which are especially vulnerable during manual handling and raises the awareness of the attendees to enable them to take appropriate evasive action. Guidance is provided to ensure that the trainees learn how to maximise what strength they have and how to lift adopting a method which protects them and makes all handling tasks safer.
